I’m Steve, a passionate Tutor and Maths Olympiad Champion dedicated to helping students unlock their potential in Mathematics and Economics. I passed my Singapore-Cambridge GCE O-Level Mathematics and went on to complete my A-Levels one year early, achieving 4 A*s in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Economics, and Physics, before studying BSc Economics at the London School of Economics. (LSE).
Alongside teaching IGCSE, GCSE, and A-Level Mathematics and Economics, I also support students preparing for Olympiad competitions, sharing the strategies and problem-solving techniques that shaped my own success. I am currently training in Special Education, with a focus on supporting learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN). My passion to teach those who have learning challenges derives from having empathy for students and parents who have not been as fortunate as myself in navigating the educational system which does not suit everyone. I am said to be a natural at supporting Special Education students but feel i am leaning all the time.
My approach combines structured exam preparation, clear step-by-step explanations, and bespoke resources tailored to each student’s learning style and goals. Most importantly, I believe in encouraging and empowering every learner — helping them grow in confidence, build resilience, and achieve lasting academic success.
