SEN Specialists offers personalised online special education, special educational needs (SEN) tuition and executive-function coaching for children and young people in Singapore. We support learners studying IGCSE, GCSE, the International Baccalaureate (IB) and A-Levels, including those with ADHD, autism, anxiety, confidence difficulties and challenges with organisation, time management, socialising or behaviours affecting learning.
Our online approach is designed for families throughout Singapore. We support students attending international and local schools, with curriculum-specific tutoring where our specialist tutors have the relevant experience. We work with students and parents to build practical skills, academic confidence and greater independence.

We provide specialist online support for children and young people with special educational needs (SEN), including students with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, learning difficulties and differences in executive functioning. Our approach begins with understanding the learner’s strengths, interests, school experience and the barriers affecting progress. A diagnosis is not a prerequisite for discussing support.
Sessions can address attention, working memory, task initiation, processing demands, flexible thinking and the organisation of schoolwork. We adapt communication, pacing and teaching resources to each learner rather than relying on a single method.
Schoolwork, assessments and social expectations can contribute to anxiety and reduced confidence. Our educational mentoring provides a supportive setting to practise manageable routines, develop self-advocacy and build confidence through achievable goals.
We do not present tuition as clinical treatment for anxiety.
We can work on understanding social situations, communication strategies, transitions, frustration, avoidance and self-regulation as they relate to education. Our focus is on understanding needs, developing skills and using positive, practical strategies rather than labelling or punishing behaviour.
Academic tuition is tailored for learners preparing for IGCSE, GCSE, the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme and A-Levels. We combine subject teaching with explicit study strategies, examination preparation and executive-function support.
Online support may include Mathematics, English, Biology, Chemistry and Physics, with structured explanations, topic review, practice questions and examination techniques suited to the learner.
We support IB Diploma Programme students with relevant Higher Level (HL) and Standard Level (SL) subjects, study planning, assessment preparation and independent learning skills, according to tutor specialisms.
Subject-specialist tuition can support A-Level Mathematics and Sciences, alongside revision planning, managing examination pressure, improving accuracy and developing sustainable study routines.
Subjects and levels are subject to tutor availability. We’ll confirm what’s available at your initial consultation.
Some students understand academic content but find it difficult to plan, organise, begin tasks, retain instructions or demonstrate what they know under examination conditions. SEN Specialists uses personalised learning strategies to build confidence, resilience and effective learning habits – developing responsible, independent and self-accountable learners.

Where appropriate, subject tutors can consult with James R, SEN learning designer and executive-function coach, to adapt learning resources and teaching approaches.
Large tasks broken into manageable steps
Clear, step-by-step teaching
Diagrams and checklists that clarify
Strengthening recall actively
Less overload, clearer focus
Sustainable study habits
Follow four simple steps to get matched with the right tutor and start building your student’s academic confidence.
Your tutor remains your principal point of contact throughout.
We help learners create realistic timetables, break down homework and coursework, prioritise tasks, monitor deadlines, initiate work and build routines that transfer beyond the tutoring session.
Techniques may include chunking, retrieval practice, blurting, spaced review, visual prompts, worked examples and short reflection activities. Where we set a chunking-and-blurting task, students receive the source text or information they need to study before recalling it.
We begin with a parent or carer consultation to understand the student’s needs and goals. Where appropriate, we then meet the student, agree priorities and plan an initial block of online sessions. Teaching materials and strategies are tailored to the learner, with progress updates and practical recommendations for families.
